Without my past, I would never be who I am today. God has taken all the pain and turned it around for my good and heaven's gain. Once you walk through the door of healing, it's your responsibility to embrace your healing. We can get deliverance and still not be free. We can be delivered from abuse, but never truly free because we are still looking through eyes and mindset of the abused victim. Once healed, don't look back at what you were or what happened to you. You are a new person in Christ. Move pass your past. Just like an animal who was raised in a cage and never let out, let someone open the door. It will never go out because it doesn't realize it's free. We can get delivered and never walk through the open door or shake off the chains that have us bound. What the devil meant for your harm, God can turn it around for your good and his glory, only if you are willing to allow him into your brokenness. Until you let your past die, it will not let your future live. You have to forgive even yourself. Great people of faith, they follow Jesus away from the pain of the past. Take the path God has chosen for you, not the path man told you to go down.
