Lew Nikolajewitsch Graf Tolstoi, deutsch häufig auch Leo Tolstoi (1828-1910), war ein russischer Schriftsteller. Seine Hauptwerke 'Krieg und Frieden' und 'Anna Karenina' sind Klassiker des realistischen Romans, die seinen literarischen Ruhm begründeten. Er ist genauso berühmt für seine komplizierte und paradoxe Persönlichkeit und für seine moralistischen und asketischen Auffassungen, die er nach einer moralischen Krise und geistigem Erwachen annahm. Lew Tolstoi wurde also auch als moralischer Denker und sozialer Reformer bekannt. Aus dem Buch: 'Folgende drei Fragen haben Sie, gnädige Frau, an mich gerichtet: 1.
