Les brassinostéroïdes (BR) sont des hormones stéroïdes végétales qui jouent un rôle essentiel dans la croissance et le développement des plantes et leur confèrent également une tolérance à un large éventail de stress abiotiques. Compte tenu de l’importance croissante du rôle des BR dans les réponses au stress et de leur rôle protecteur contre la toxicité des métaux lourds chez les plantes, nous avons entrepris une étude pour analyser les dix gènes associés à l’accumulation et au transport de l’arsenic [OsHACs (OsHAC1;1 et OsHAC1;2), OsPht1, Lsi1, Lsi2, OsGrxs (OsGrx_C7 et OsGrx_C2.1), OsCLT1, OsNRAMP1 et OsABCC1] dans des plants de riz (Rajendra Kasturi) traités à l’EBR (24-epibrassinosteroid), un BR, cultivés dans un sol naturellement contaminé par l’arsenic. Le profilage de l’expression des gènes impliqués dans l’absorption de l’arsenic et sa translocation a été réalisé à l’aide d’une analyse qRT-PCR. L’identification et la caractérisation des gènes sensibles au BR impliqués dans l’accumulation et le transport de l’arsenic dans les plants de riz ouvrent la voie à une analyse plus poussée de ces gènes en tant que cibles pour réduire l’absorption de l’arsenic dans le riz.
