Mon travail est une enquête contemporaine sur l’éthique de la collecte de fonds et du parrainage d’entreprises dans les musées d’art britanniques. Travaillant pour l’un des musées d’art les plus importants du Royaume-Uni à l’époque, je me suis demandé si le parrainage de musées d’art par des compagnies pétrolières, comme celui de BP avec le British Museum et la Tate, posait un problème éthique et, si oui, pourquoi. Je me suis ensuite demandé: ces musées ont-ils vraiment le choix, d’un point de vue financier? Ces questions m’ont conduit à des conclusions intéressantes, que j’illustre dans mon livre.
