Blame It On The Mistletoe

Christmas, 1824Julia had loved Iain MacLerie since she was a lass and he was a family friend. But they both grew up and went their separate ways. . . and now he’s back to visit at Christmastime. And he’s changed. A terrible accident that robbed him of his parents and threw him into a life of pain also stole away his hope. Iain suspected visiting with the Earl of Treybourne’s family over the holidays was a bad idea, but he could not refuse his uncle’s request. The sight of the now-grown and lovely Julia Fairchild proved this gathering would be more of a trial than he’d thought. For the tender feelings they’d shared as children have now bloomed into a hopeless love for a woman he could never claim. An exciting kiss and caress under the mistletoe exposes their deepest longings. Yet, each day together brings new challenges as Julia decides to fight for his love and Iain becomes more convinced of his failures. Only a dangerous accident and facing the reality of losing her forces Iain to decide if he could truly live without her. Can he allow himself to hope for a better life? Is he willing to take a chance on a future with Julia?BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE, an RWA® RITA™ Finalist, a sweet, emotional holiday novella about love and hope. . . and magical kisses beneath the mistletoe, was previously published by Harlequin in the ONE CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS anthology and is now republished by the author via Luckenbooth Press. 6
