Cordelia Monroe is a burned out photojournalist chasing America’s decay through her camera lens while fleeing the dangers of the big city.Wyatt Knox is a quiet trucker with a cowboy’s swagger and a graveyard of guilt running from the ghosts of his youth.A dive bar, a drink, a dance.A smile, a kiss, a sweet goodbye.Over miles of blacktops and months on the road, fate pushes them together at highway truck stops and motel run-ins. Their connection deepens in the contrast of the night and neon lights, but neither is ready to stop running from their pasts. That is until Cordelia’s violent history resurfaces and Wyatt is the only man willing to burn down the road to get to her.Blacktops & Buttercups is a gritty love story, set in 1976, about two souls finding solace in each other - one truck stop at a time.
