O livro consiste em nove capítulos que abordam as questões relacionadas (mas não limitadas) ao potencial bio-prospecto, tais como o rastreio de actinomicetos do ecossistema costeiro, bioprospecção microbiana usando uma abordagem ’ómica’, importância da Aquacultura Multi-troférica integrada, diversidade biótica e erosão da linha de costa no ecossistema costeiro. Estamos optimistas em dizer que o conhecimento aprofundado e os conhecimentos científicos partilhados neste livro irão contribuir para os objectivos de desenvolvimento sustentável de forma holística e em particular no SDG 13,14 e 15.
