Die Monographie fasst die Ergebnisse der langjährigen Forschung des Autors zur Isolierung und Untersuchung biologisch aktiver Terpenoide, insbesondere von Sesquiterpenlactonen aus Wild- und Heilpflanzen, zur Identifizierung bekannter und zur Festlegung der Struktur neuer Verbindungen mit deren weiterer Übertragung auf biologische Tests zusammen und systematisiert sie. Unter ihnen wurden Verbindungen mit biostimulierender, wachstumsfördernder, mutagener, insektizider, fungizider, antimykotischer und antiviraler Wirkung identifiziert und Patente für Erfindungen, Feld- und Produktionstests entsprechend den Forschungsergebnissen erteilt .
