Diese Forschungsarbeit untersucht den Einfluss der Bildung von Frauen in einer Ehe auf ihren Wunsch, ein weiteres Kind zu bekommen, in Benin anhand der Daten der Bevölkerungs- und Gesundheitserhebung (Enquête Démographique et de Santé, EDS) aus dem Jahr 2017-2018. Die Autorin zeigt, dass Frauen mit einem höheren Bildungsniveau eher dazu neigen, ihre Fortpflanzung einzuschränken, was auf eine gestärkte Autonomie und ein besseres Verständnis der wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und familiären Herausforderungen zurückzuführen ist.
