Beyond Remembrance tells the story of Daniel Henderson, a retired professor, who returns on winter holiday to the cottage in the Virgin Islands that he had shared with his recently deceased wife in past trips when he had taught a marine biology course to college students. He begins to write their story and reminisces about the past forty years they shared together raising their two children. As he writes their story, he comes to realize that his wife’s spirit still lives on as part of the island. However, one day he encounters a beautiful woman on the beach who captivates him. Yet she is a woman of mystery who eludes him, as he is drawn into danger in his search for her. His story culminates in the discovery that the love he and his wife have shared is truly everlasting.
