Die postvirale chronische Hepatitis C ist ein großes Problem für die öffentliche Gesundheit, da weltweit etwa 71 Millionen Menschen mit dieser Krankheit infiziert sind. Bis 2011 basierte die Behandlung auf einer pegylierten dualen Therapie mit einer anhaltenden virologischen Ansprechrate (SVR) zwischen 40 und 80 % je nach Genotyp, aber aufgrund von Kontraindikationen und Nebenwirkungen war die Verschreibung dieser Therapie nur begrenzt möglich. Die Einführung neuer direkt antiviraler Wirkstoffe (DAA) hat die Behandlung der postviralen chronischen Hepatitis C mit einer SVR von 90-100 % und wenigen Nebenwirkungen verändert. Es handelte sich um eine deskriptive, transversale und prospektive Studie, in der alle Patienten mit chronischer postviraler Hepatitis C in der Abteilung für Hepato-Gastro-Enterologie in Nabeul erfasst wurden, die in das nationale Programm zur Eradikation des Hepatitis-C-Virus aufgenommen wurden.
