Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Film und Fernsehen, Note: 3,0, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Institut für Theater-und Medienwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Proseminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wie kann ein Einstieg in eine Serie aussehen und was muss der Serienanfang generell leisten? In folgender Arbeit sollen diese Fragen aufgegriffen und anhand einer Analyse zweier Pilotfolgen, der ersten Folge der Serie Gilmore Girls und der primären Episode von Prison Break, beantwortet werden. Das Ziel ist, durch die rationale Darstellung der beiden Pilotfolgen einen Vergleich ziehen zu können. So sollen zwei unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung eines Serienanfangs aufgezeigt werden. Nach einem kurzen Überblick über die Bedeutung des Begriffs „Pilot' werden die beiden ausgewählten Folgen vorgestellt und kurz charakterisiert, damit anschließend die angewendeten Strategien herausgearbeitet werden können. Am Ende soll überprüft werden, ob die unterschiedlichen Vorgehensweisen letztendlich zum selben Resultat führen.
