Dr. Cheryl Major Brandon serves God as a spirit filled believer in the same church since 1979. She’s served in a spirit filled non-denominational church in various areas of ministry including praise team, children’s church leader/teacher, small group leader, intercessor, usher, divorce recovery leader, and church school teacher. She originates from Winnsboro, LA and is the daughter of the late Rev. Tipp M. Major Sr. and Mrs. Allie Major. She believes God allows particular trials in all of our lives and desertion, abandonment and divorce happened to her while she was serving in her church. Dr. Brandon believes that God showed his might and strength on her behalf through His word and Holy Spirit and made her stronger in Him through the trial of desertion, abandonment and divorce. This trial of a lifetime happened to her while she was serving God. The result after the trial gave her the inspiration to encourage others with the comfort the Holy Spirit allowed her to receive so others could become STRONGER in God and receive comfort as well.Dr. Brandon holds a Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Science, Masters of Education in Secondary Education, and Doctorate in Special Education. Career paths include: LSU -Ag Center Extension Home Economist, Resident Counselor Director at Southern University Baton Rouge School teacher in both public and private Christian schools, Special Education Instructional Support Specialists, LSU Distance Learning/Independent Study Teacher and Curriculum Author, Northwestern State Univ. Adjunct Teacher, Teach Baton Rouge Content Specialist, Content Seminar Leader -The New Teacher Project, and Certified SACS/SACI Team Chair/Evaluator. Her major focus throughout life has been mentoring and guiding youth toward Christ, creative instruction, curriculum development, and school improvement. Dr. Brandon is the mother of two who both serve Christ and serve others in the education profession.
