This excellent research tool was created from the first Baltimore directory, originally compiled by Thompson and Walker. Mr. Barnes has supplemented this volume with Baltimore naturalizations from 1796 to 1803 (with gaps). Directory entries typically include: surname, given name, occupation, and residence. The directory is grouped alphabetically by the first letter of the surname. The naturalization data was extracted from the Baltimore County Naturalization Docket. These entries are grouped by date and contain: surname, given name, and country of origin. Naturalizations are indexed.
