Second Printing. There were a couple of unknown and unintentional errors in the book, so this is a second printing, rectifying those errors. Balls-Town: A Community of History, Friends, Neighbors, and Lingering Spirits.Every life, every death tells a story.Long before the Towns of Milton and Ballston stood apart, they were one-Balls-Town. This book is not just a history of the land, but a tribute to the lives that shaped it: settlers and poets, neighbors and forgotten voices. Their stories-some buried, some nearly lost-are revived here through historical accounts, personal writings, and heartfelt homage. From the incorporation of Ballston Spa to the quiet echoes of those who walked these streets, Balls-Town invites readers to witness a community stitched together by memory, resilience, and spirit. It honors not only the prominent, but the overlooked-the storytellers whose words once graced these lands and deserve to be heard again.I’m Amy Shannon. This is my hometown. And this is its story.
