Niniejsze badanie eksploracyjne podnosi kwestię poradnictwa edukacyjnego w odniesieniu do uprzedzeń społeczno-poznawczych związanych ze stereotypami wynikającymi z pochodzenia społecznego. Wzywa się nauczycieli o uprzywilejowanym lub mniej uprzywilejowanym pochodzeniu społecznym do podjęcia decyzji w sprawie orientacji uczniów ze skromnych lub uprzywilejowanych środowisk na ścieżkę zawodową lub technologiczną. Autorka najpierw przeanalizuje podstawy teoretyczne i koncepcyjne związane ze stereotypami, uprzedzeniami i dyskryminacją, a następnie podkreśli nierówności społeczne nieodłącznie związane ze stereotypami istniejącymi w szkołach. Następnie podjęta zostanie próba zbadania możliwych powiązań pomiędzy stereotypami społecznymi a orientacją edukacyjną.
