La microstructure plus grossière a un effet négatif sur les propriétés mécaniques des composants coulés et le long temps de traitement affecte la productivité globale du processus. Ainsi, au cours de ce processus de moulage en sable vert, divers défauts apparaissent, tels que les trous de soufflage, la pénétration du métal, les queues de rat, le déplacement du moule, etc. La plupart des processus de moulage sont effectués manuellement.
