Il processo di transizione dalla scuola al lavoro è spesso impegnativo per i giovani, soprattutto per i disabili. Per ottenere una transizione significativa, sono spesso necessarie una valutazione incrociata delle batterie e una valutazione professionale funzionale. In questo studio di revisione, i genitori di un giovane adulto di 20 anni e 8 mesi, JC, hanno chiesto che la sua condizione autistica venga rivista. La valutazione è stata fatta in modo da conoscere lo stato attuale delle capacità e delle competenze di JC e il suo stato di preparazione per l’impiego professionale. Con i risultati, i suoi genitori hanno potuto utilizzare la relazione per cercare una formazione professionale adeguata per JC in modo da sviluppare tali competenze nell’area di suo interesse professionale.
