Os principais objectivos da investigação foram identificados a fim de medir a satisfação dos cidadãos. O livro também destacou os factores determinantes da satisfação dos cidadãos nos conselhos municipais, tais como a qualidade dos serviços municipais, a participação da comunidade e a sensibilização dos municípios. A teoria da escolha pública foi utilizada no estudo. A relação entre as variáveis foi investigada utilizando os dados exaustivos recolhidos nas comunidades locais. Foram postuladas hipóteses para mostrar a relação que existia entre as variáveis da investigação. Foi utilizado o software SPSS versão 23 para analisar os dados. O gráfico Amos também foi utilizado para a análise multivariada. Foi desenvolvido um quadro abrangente com o objetivo de aumentar a satisfação dos cidadãos.
