Praca z wpływem mediów cyfrowych na audiowizualność niesie ze sobą różne sposoby komunikacji poprzez nowe technologie i konwergencję mediów, a także wpływa na procesy narracyjne i strategiczne stosowane w dziedzinie audiowizualności. Niniejsza praca ma na celu zbadanie dwóch terminów, które nadal są dość mylone w dziedzinie komunikacji, ale które coraz częściej pojawiają się w produkcjach audiowizualnych. Są to terminy: crossmedia i transmedia. Wychodząc od tego punktu, bierze się pod uwagę konwergencję mediów i swobodę, jaką daje Internet, aby przeanalizować, do których z tych procesów program Porta dos Fundos, w swojej obecnej konfiguracji, najlepiej pasuje. Program, który początkowo miał charakter rozrywkowy, obecnie zajmuje znaczącą pozycję na rynku, a ponadto wnosi wkład w rozwój brazylijskiej branży audiowizualnej. Stało się to możliwe dzięki strategiom przyjętym w zakresie produkcji treści i sposobów ich dystrybucji za pośrednictwem współczesnych mediów, które w coraz większym stopniu dostosowują się do nowych formatów.
