Die Auswahl von Merkmalen ist die erste Aufgabe jedes Lernansatzes, um eine relevante Menge von Merkmalen zu definieren. Es werden mehrere Methoden vorgeschlagen, um das Problem der Merkmalsauswahl zu lösen, darunter Filter-, Wrapper- und eingebettete Methoden. In dieser Arbeit konzentrieren wir uns auf die Auswahl von Merkmalssätzen, um einen minimal großen Satz optimaler Merkmale auszuwählen. Die Auswahl von Merkmalen ist ein Optimierungsproblem; zu diesem Zweck wird eine auf genetischen Algorithmen basierende Auswahl von Attributsätzen unter Verwendung eines Naive-Bayes-Klassifikators verwendet. GABASS hat sich als beste Technik für Auswahlzwecke bei sehr großen Populationen erwiesen. GABASS liefert gute Ergebnisse und seine Stärke liegt in der guten Anpassung an die verschiedenen und sich schnell verändernden Umgebungen.
