L’éducation pour tous est l’objectif que le ministère de l’éducation et des ressources humaines de l’île Maurice souhaite atteindre, sur la base des recommandations de l’UNESCO. L’île Maurice préconise une éducation de qualité, c’est-à-dire une éducation de classe mondiale dans laquelle chaque enfant mauricien devrait avoir la possibilité d’atteindre un haut niveau de réussite scolaire. L’éducation doit être le privilège de tous et non le droit exclusif de quelques élites. Cette étude analyse, du point de vue d’un éducateur, dans quelle mesure l’île Maurice est capable d’atteindre une éducation de qualité au niveau secondaire. Elle est principalement basée sur la vérification d’hypothèses. Le processus de recherche comprend également une étude de cas de la zone 2, pour laquelle un questionnaire auto-administré a été distribué à un échantillon de 90 éducateurs. L’étude, réalisée en 2011, révèle que Maurice se dirige vers une éducation quantifiée plutôt que vers une éducation de qualité. L’éducation de masse peut être considérée comme une meilleure rhétorique pour son plan éducatif actuel.
