Esta publicación es un atlas completo e ilustrado a full color para todo aquel estudiante que requiera zambullirse en el aprendizaje y la práctica de la histología, llamada también la anatomía microscópica. Es, además, el resultado del dedicado y minucioso trabajo de la bióloga y docente Frida Huaraz, quien en estas páginas ha volcado toda su experiencia en el estudio y análisis de las estructuras de las células, tejidos y órganos para facilitar el aprendizaje a los estudiantes. En ese sentido, este texto tuvo una primera versión en el año 2018 con una gran acogida estudiantil; es por ello que se presenta esta nueva edición actualizada y aumentada en la que se incluyen más conceptos teóricos y nuevas imágenes que invitarán a los estudiantes a desarrollar una práctica más objetiva e interesante.El libro comprende diecinueve capítulos y, en cada uno de ellos, se describen en forma detallada la estructura microscópica de los tejidos que forman el cuerpo humano. Dentro de cada capítulo se presentan las ilustraciones microscópicas que están diseñadas de una manera didáctica en las que se describen con detalle todas las estructuras importantes que contienen cada célula, estructura u órgano. Es así que este atlas ilustrado estádirigido a todos los estudiantes de las diferentes especialidades de las ciencias de la salud como medicina, tecnología médica, nutrición, obstetricia, estomatología, patología; así como para profesionales médicos, biólogos o de otras especialidades relacionadas con la medicina. 4
