Esta investigação foi conduzida com o objetivo de compreender a forma como as atitudes em relação à língua turca mudaram após uma intervenção educativa e de escrutínio que visava abordar a cultura entre os dois países, Grécia e Turquia. Tendo em conta os conflitos que têm surgido frequentemente entre os dois povos, bem como o ambiente tenso em alguns domínios onde ainda hoje existem vestígios de acontecimentos históricos passados, considera-se que um estudo sobre as atitudes das crianças é absolutamente essencial. O nosso objetivo é provar que a escola pode desempenhar um papel importante neste processo. Assim, neste estudo pretende-se a realização de uma intervenção pedagógica. O objetivo da intervenção é a familiarização com a cultura turca moderna e a sua relação com a respectiva cultura grega. O estudo pretende proporcionar a autoavaliação dos alunos de modo a que estes possam obter uma visão crítica das suas atitudes já formadas. O método mais adequado que poderia servir tanto o objetivo principal como os objectivos secundários desta investigação foi considerado a investigação-ação.
