Rodrick B. MacLennan e June Julian receberam a prestigiada Bandeira do Explorers Club n.º 109 pela sua expedição arqueológica/mudanças climáticas na Ilha de Vallay, nas Hébridas Exteriores. Desde 1918, a bandeira já foi levada em centenas de expedições: ao espaço sideral, aos dois polos, aos oceanos mais profundos e aos picos mais altos do mundo. O objetivo da pesquisa era registrar o estado atual dos sítios arqueológicos descobertos pela primeira vez pelo arqueólogo do século XIX Erskine Beveridge na Ilha de Vallay, na Escócia, e o impacto das alterações climáticas sobre eles. As múltiplas disciplinas da arqueologia, arte e alterações climáticas foram integradas ao projeto, que envolveu uma comunidade de participantes em pesquisas de campo arqueológicas e estruturas estéticas.
