ARABESQUE Group Exhibition CatalogAn online group exhibition for Era ContemporaryCurated by Jessica LiborDancers make thier way across the stage, a glamour of sparkles and tulle. Ribbons tied in neat criss cross bows over ankles of delicate strength. Fashions of gossamer and glitter swirl around each pirouette. The darkness of backstage is like a velvet drape in contrast to the lights of the theater. Stories of pathos and gaiety play out to the sounds of the live orchestra from the pit. The audience cries, laughs, claps, and throws roses to the prima donna. A performance ethereal, yet eternal in the minds of those who were there. This evocative group exhibition draws from the elusive, ethereal magic of ballet-a world where the body becomes brushstroke and time is the medium. Created in part by artists who are themselves dancers and musicians, each piece distills the poetry of performance into visual form. Pastel and oil whisper of silk slippers grazing the stage, while video installation, sculpture and photography express moments of sacrifice and transcendence. This exhibition invites you into the ephemeral realm where time suspends-where a pirouette becomes eternity, and the stage, a dreamworld built of discipline, devotion, and movement. Here, art and dance entwine in a reverie both celebratory and transcendent.May 1, 2025- July 1, 2025This group show includes artists:Abigail Walecki, Barbara Simonson, Chance Heap, Elaine Juska Joseph, Florin Ion Firimita, Gabriella Papale, Hal Yaskulka, Hava Carrasco, Helen Frank, Jessica Libor, Kate Grabowski, Kristen McFarland, Lizzie Sweetie, Madelaine Louise Dillon, Margaret Wiseheart, Megan Emily Ely, Nancy Bea Miller, Pat Berrett, Randall Vemer and Sarah Amick, Elizabeth Churchill and Alfonso Julian Camacho
