Given the oil industry’s growing interest in optimising EOR methods, nanoscale systems have been used as thickening agents and rheology controllers. It has been proven that nanoemulsified polymeric systems, when compared to systems containing only polymers, promote an improvement in the performance of the recovery fluid, optimising its viscosity and rheological behaviour, as well as thermal and chemical resistance. One of the factors that favours the increase in recovery by these systems is related to the improvement in the mobility factor between the displacing fluid and the displaced fluid, and the aim of this work was to study the application of nanoemulsified polymeric systems in advanced oil recovery.
