Application of Geographic Information Systems to the Mineral Sector, the case study of the Jamba region in Angola. This work presents aspects related to GIS applications, with a focus on iron deposits. Mineral favourability models are presented, with emphasis on the weights of evidence method, through the incorporation of geological data, geochronological data, iron occurrence data, as well as data resulting from the processing of remote sensing images.
