L’industrialisation croissante et la croissance rapide de la population ont considérablement augmenté le taux de pollution de l’eau dans le monde. La diminution des ressources naturelles en eau en a fait un obstacle sérieux à la croissance industrielle et à un niveau de vie raisonnable dans les métropoles. Les agences de protection de l’environnement ont imposé des interdictions réglementaires plus strictes pour protéger l’environnement aquatique. De nos jours, le traitement des eaux usées est très important en raison de la forte utilisation d’eau douce et du rejet d’eau hautement polluée. De nombreuses technologies ont été adoptées pour réduire les matières organiques et inorganiques des eaux usées. Dans ce chapitre, l’application de diverses technologies pour purifier les eaux usées industrielles est explorée. Il est donc nécessaire de développer une méthode de traitement efficace avec un faible coût d’exploitation pour le traitement des eaux usées industrielles.
