A apreciação da utilização do quadro negro pelos estudantes e professores da Academia de Polícia dos Países Baixos não é grande. Há queixas de que a sua utilização é difícil e pouco amigável para os estudantes. Esta investigação abrange a apreciação da utilização do quadro negro entre os estudantes e os professores da Academia de Polícia dos Países Baixos, desde 2011 até 2015, inclusive, centrando-se na implementação pedagógica do quadro negro 9.1 (aprender). Os resultados desta investigação mostram que, devido à implementação pedagógica do Blackboard 9.1, a apreciação da utilização do Blackboard pelos professores aumentou. O apreço dos alunos diminuiu, possivelmente devido a falhas na tecnologia. A utilidade é o fator de previsão mais forte da intenção de começar a utilizar o Blackboard, e o prazer também tem um grande impacto neste aspeto. O prazer e a facilidade de utilização afectam positivamente a intenção comportamental através da utilidade. A introdução de uma aprendizagem reforçada pela tecnologia é um processo complicado, no qual um grande número de factores e intervenientes desempenham um papel importante. Este livro é interessante para todas as instituições de ensino que estão a considerar um ambiente virtual de aprendizagem pessoal, como o Blackboard, o Moodle, etc.
