As the world’s top cause of mortality, cancer is currently the most prevalent barrier to achieving a good life expectancy in most nations. Ovarian cancer is the third most frequent gynecologic cancer, after cervical and uterine cancer. It also has the worst prognosis and the highest death rate. Ovarian cancer is less common than breast cancer, yet it is three times as dangerous. It is projected that this sickness will cause a significant increase in deaths by 2040. The slow development of symptoms, hidden and silent growth of the tumour, and insufficient screening are all factors in the high fatality rate from ovarian cancer. This suffering is exacerbated by the present cancer screening methods’ inadequate diagnostic effectiveness. In conventional medicine, chemotherapy comes after surgical debulking. Chemotherapy is a frequently used cancer treatment strategy. But the side effects of chemotherapy medications are quite awful and poisonous. This book deals with the ovarian cancer cell line (PA-1) used to test the anti-cancer effects of ethanolic extract of Parmelia perlata.
