Dipeptidylpeptidase-IV-Hemmer, auch allgemein als Gliptine bezeichnet, sind eine relativ neue Klasse von Arzneimitteln zur Behandlung von Typ-2-Diabetes. Zur Bestimmung von Gliptinen in Wirkstoffen, Arzneimittelformulierungen und biologischen Flüssigkeiten stehen verschiedene analytische Methoden zur Verfügung. Zahlreiche analytische Verfahren, darunter chromatographische, spektrometrische und elektrophoretische Techniken, wurden beschrieben, und es besteht ein großer Bedarf, die bisher in der Literatur veröffentlichten analytischen Arbeiten zusammenzufassen. Das vorliegende Buch bietet einen kurzen Überblick über eine Auswahl validierter Analysemethoden zur Bestimmung von Gliptinen. Es deckt den Zeitraum von 1987 bis 2013 ab, in dem mehrere Analysemethoden entwickelt wurden, darunter alle Arten von chromatographischen, spektralphotometrischen und voltammetrischen Techniken. Das Buch befasst sich hauptsächlich mit der Analyse ausgewählter Gliptine aus pharmazeutischen Formulierungen und biologischen Proben.
