Cet article évalue l’efficacité des distributeurs d’électricité au Brésil et, sur la base des résultats obtenus, analyse les facteurs liés à leur inefficacité. À cette fin, une analyse DEA en deux étapes est utilisée : dans un premier temps, la méthode DEA est utilisée pour estimer l’efficacité des distributeurs et, dans un deuxième temps, des régressions sont effectuées sur les résultats de l’efficacité. Il a été observé que les distributeurs privés sont plus efficaces que les distributeurs publics et que les rendements d’échelle des distributeurs brésiliens sont très divers.
