W niniejszej pracy zbadano wpływ warunków spawania w zależności od właściwości mechanicznych stali miękkiej i przedstawiono optymalne warunki spawania poprzez ocenę zdolności spawania stali miękkiej w zależności od warunków spawania, takich jak przejścia spawalnicze, zmiany napięcia, prąd, zmienność i zmiana grubości płaskowników ze stali miękkiej. W celu znalezienia optymalnych warunków spawania na podstawie właściwości mechanicznych, stal miękka (0,134% węgla) została wybrana jako próbka o grubości 5, 8, 16 mm i została przygotowana do eksperymentu. Próbki spawano w zakresie 20-24 V, 130-150 A i z nich wyodrębniono próbki do badań rozciągania, udarności i twardości oraz mikrostruktury. Wyniki eksperymentalne wykazały, że wraz ze wzrostem napięcia wzrasta penetracja, więc przy użyciu tych parametrów przeprowadzono dalsze spawanie. Wyniki pokazują, że wraz ze wzrostem natężenia prądu wzrasta twardość HAZ i wytrzymałość na rozciąganie. Również wzrost liczby przejść powoduje spadek twardości i wytrzymałości na rozciąganie. Energia pochłaniania uderzenia wykazuje wzrost energii wraz ze wzrostem liczby przejść.
