Niniejsza praca stanowi oryginalne badanie dotyczące rosnącej liczby przestępstw popełnianych w środkach transportu w metropolii Afryki Subsaharyjskiej. Infrastruktura transportowa, ze względu na swój powszechny charakter, stanowi platformę łączącą wszystkie grupy społeczne, a ta wyjątkowa cecha jest często wykorzystywana przez przestępców. W Afryce Subsaharyjskiej system transportu publicznego boryka się z różnego rodzaju problemami, wśród których coraz większym zagrożeniem jest rosnąca fala przestępczości. W niniejszym badaniu przeanalizowano przypadki przestępstw na przystankach autobusowych w metropolii Ibadan w Nigerii. Do analizy zmienności przestrzennej i czasowej przestępczości w wybranych parkach w latach 2003-2008 wykorzystano dane policyjne oraz dane pierwotne uzyskane od respondentów. Książka jest idealna dla studentów studiów licencjackich na kierunkach związanych z transportem, urbanistyką, kryminalistyką oraz kształtowaniem polityki urbanistycznej w krajach rozwijających się, a w szczególności w Afryce Subsaharyjskiej.
