Este livro é a minha primeira aplicação em C#. Utilizei o MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox para realizar várias operações em raios-X do tórax. A aplicação, por exemplo, é capaz de selecionar a área dos pulmões utilizando alguns algoritmos selecionados do método de conjunto de níveis. A aplicação provou ser útil e muito precisa, no entanto, com o aumento da resolução da imagem de entrada, o tempo necessário para realizar a segmentação aumentou drasticamente.
