MétodosUm estudo descritivo que analisou dados de janeiro de 2020 a dezembro de 2023. Os dados foram coletados por meio da análise do banco de dados do MAGPI, das fichas de notificação de óbitos e dos relatórios de revisão de óbitos maternos. Os dados foram processados e analisados com os softwares EXCELL e Epi-Info 7. Para a gestão da qualidade dos dados, a exaustividade aceitável foi superior a 95% e a concordância aceitável foi entre 95% e 105%.ResultadosRegistámos 112 casos de morte materna. Observou-se completude em 55% das variáveis e concordância entre 83% e 100%. A mediana de idade foi de 30 ± 15 - 42 anos. 79 casos (71%) residiam em área urbana. 12 casos (11%) morreram durante a evacuação. 55 mortes (49%) ocorreram no período pós-parto imediato, sendo a hemorragia obstétrica a causa mais comum em 43 casos (38%). A RMM aumentou de 138/100 000 nados-vivos em 2020 para 181/100 000 nados-vivos em 2023.
