''An Inquiry Into Scriptural And Ancient Servitude: In Which It Is Shown That Neither Was Chattel Slavery, With The Remedy For American Slavery'' is a book written by E. Smith and published in 1852. The book is an analysis of the concept of slavery in ancient times and in the Bible. The author argues that the slavery practiced in ancient times was not the same as the chattel slavery that existed in America at the time. He then proposes a remedy for American slavery, suggesting that it should be abolished and replaced with a system of apprenticeship.
