Have you ever had a dream that got your attention so acutely that you practically jumped out of bed? It could have been a dream from the Divine. To discern if a dream is from the Divine, I look for signs like:• a strong impulse to quickly write down the details• persistent feelings throughout the day or several days• vivid and memorable imagery that sticks in my mind• a strong sense of truth, tailor-made for me• clarity or insight into my life experiences or situations• and/or a sense of inner peace and joyYou might also check to see if a significant dream aligns with scripture, if you are a follower. People of all denominations and faiths receive dreams from the Divine. I’ve also heard that Jesus came to people in dreams, or God spoke to them, and they had no religious convictions. Sometimes, people wake up feeling inspired to make major changes or follow a certain humanitarian path, but do not attribute it to the Divine. A dream might linger in your mind and leave you with a feeling that you have received an important revelation. If a dream reflects God’s character, which is characterized by deep love, compassion, and justice, it is likely to be a dream from the Divine.This book contains a collection of notes from my personal dreams, my reflections, and prayers to and responses from the Divine.
