This is a book about the most loved bird of North America. Its central purpose is to become one with the beauty and wonder of nature. In the beauty and wonder of robins, I am no longer rooted in earth. I have gained wings to soar in blue skies, one with all things. While this is a book for all ages, it is primarily designed to be used with children through the adolescent age to give them roots and wings. Many of the poems were first used with our children and grandchildren to help them grow in beauty and wonder, and to help them see that all of life is precious.
