David Luecke masterfully bridges deep theological understanding with heartfelt, practical application. Alive in the Spirit offers readers a refreshing and balanced view of the Spirit’s active presence in daily life, grounded firmly in biblical truth and classical theology. His description of the Holy Spirit as 'God’s wind in in our lives today' beautifully captures the transformative power that believers can experience when they open themselves to divine guidance. This book is not only an exploration-it’s an invitation. Readers are encouraged to recognize, name and share their own encounters with the Spirit, deepening their relationship with God while helping to shape more Spirit-oriented church communities. Luke told us repeatedly that Jesus was full of the Spirit. Jesus announced in Nazareth that the Spirit had anointed Him for His ministry. David Luecke has spent 40 years pondering the significance of such encounters, and he helps us understand the importance of such spiritual experiences in our own day. His wisdom shared here is worth pondering as well.Cecil M. Robeck, Jr. Professor at Fuller Theological Seminary.Alive in the Spirit explores· How to recognize the Holy Spirit at work today;· What the Bible teaches us on the Spirit’s work now;· How to share encounters with the Spirit; and· How to shape a more Spirit-oriented church culture
