En este proyecto de investigación se incentivó y promovió la participación de los estudiantes, tratando temáticas relacionadas con la Línea de Investigación de Ciencias Forenses, Criminología, Criminalística y Policía Judicial, los cuales fueron evaluados por intermedio de los asesores, jurados temáticos y metodológicos de la Institución. Esta obra, da a conocer las causas y efectos al momento de realizar un disparo, visualizándose a través de gráficas los resultados sobre el alcance efectivo de la pistola SIG Sauer modelo SP2022 con munición INDUMIL. Se realizaron las diferentes pruebas de disparo conducentes a determinar el alcance efectivo y a su vez, realizar una comparación entre dos marcas de munición para establecer sus prestaciones balísticas. Se demuestra el efecto lesivo a la piel de cerdo, siendo la más semejante al cuerpo humano, según las condiciones controladas dentro del estudio, permitiendo ser un insumo académico para la toma de decisiones en el empleo de las armas de fuego.
