La presente ricerca approfondisce un aspetto fondamentale del processo di insegnamento-apprendimento nella classe di filosofia, ovvero la dimensione affettiva. Gli obiettivi proposti per la ricerca sono di identificare i sentimenti che gli studenti delle scuole superiori pubbliche esprimono nei confronti delle lezioni di filosofia e le situazioni che provocano questi sentimenti. Sono state condotte interviste con studenti di una scuola pubblica di San Paolo. L’analisi dei dati è stata effettuata per categorie tematiche. Il riferimento teorico è la psicogenetica di Henri Wallon, soprattutto i suoi studi sull’affettività e sugli stadi di sviluppo. I risultati evidenziano la rilevanza della dimensione affettiva nel processo di insegnamento-apprendimento nella classe di filosofia, presentano la preponderanza di sentimenti spiacevoli in relazione alla classe di filosofia e il fatto che gli adolescenti si aspettano di trovare nella filosofia la comprensione di se stessi e del mondo in cui vivono.
