Au cours des dernières décennies, de nombreuses recherches pharmaceutiques ont été menées pour mettre au point de nouvelles formes galéniques. Dans un souci d’amélioration de la qualité de vie, la plupart des efforts se sont concentrés sur la facilité d’administration des médicaments. Parmi les formes galéniques développées à cette fin, on trouve notamment le comprimé à dissolution buccale (ODT). Les comprimés à dissolution orale sont également appelés comprimés orodispersibles, comprimés à dissolution buccale (MDT), comprimés à dissolution rapide, à fusion rapide et à désintégration rapide, ainsi que plaquettes lyophilisées, comprimés poreux et rapimelts. L’objectif du présent ouvrage est de faire connaître la nouvelle technologie des comprimés orodispersibles en prenant comme exemple un médicament type, le naproxène.
