Zwłaszcza w krajach rozwijających się, takich jak Indie, ludzie borykają się z wieloma problemami, takimi jak przeludnienie, ubóstwo, bezrobocie, niedostateczne zasoby, korupcja i tak dalej. Oprócz tych wszystkich problemów rządy nie są w stanie zaspokoić podstawowych potrzeb swoich obywateli. Obecnie rządy na całym świecie uznają zdrowie obywateli za swoją publiczną odpowiedzialność. Zdrowie jest bardzo ważnym i istotnym czynnikiem dla dobrobytu kraju. Istnieje stare powiedzenie „Vydyo Narayano Hari', zgodnie z którym szpital jest uważany za świątynię, a lekarze za bogów. Niniejsze badanie zostało przeprowadzone, ponieważ szpital King George w Visakhapatnam jest jednym z największych szpitali ogólnych i klinicznych w stanie Andhra Pradesh i stanowiłoby lepsze pole do oceny wysiłków rządu stanowego w zakresie administracji szpitali klinicznych. Badanie zostało zatem przeprowadzone w celu zidentyfikowania problemów administracyjnych szpitali i zaproponowania niezbędnych ulepszeń.
