如果有真信仰，就必须对其宣告。如果你是一根蜡烛，神点着了你，那么你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父（太5：16）。基督的战士，就如我们国家的士兵一样，必须穿戴他们的军装，如果他们以他们的军装为耻，就一定会被从军中开除。凡不和他的战友们一同列队行进的战士不是一个诚实的士兵。我相信，许多基督徒之所以陷入很多难处，就是因为他们对自己的信念不老实。例如，某人去到一个作坊，或一名士兵去到军营，如果他从一开始就没有升起他的旗帜，那么往后他就很难把它升起来。但是，如果他一开始马上就很勇敢地让众人知道，'我是一个基督徒，有一些事情我不能为了取悦于你们而去做，而某些特定的事，我不得不做，即使你们不高兴。'--人们一旦理解了这一点，过上一阵子，事情古怪的一面就会被忘却，也就没有人会打扰他了。然而，如果他有那么一点儿不诚实，觉得他可以既取悦于世界也可以取悦于基督，那么他可以肯定，他会遇到很多麻烦。如果他想两面讨好，他就会活得好像耙子下的蛤蟆或狗窝里的狐狸。那是绝无可能。出来吧，显出你的本质。让人们知道你是谁，你是什么。尽管你的路也许不那么平顺，但一定不会像你现在的路那么崎岖，因为你现在既要和兔子一起逃命，又要和一群猎犬一起追猎，那可是非常困难的一个行当。司布真
