A Prairie-Schooner Princess is a novel written by Mary Katherine Maule in 1920. The story is set in the late 19th century and follows the life of a young girl named Ruth, who is the daughter of a wealthy family in the Midwest. Ruth is fascinated with the idea of traveling westward in a prairie schooner, a covered wagon used by pioneers to cross the Great Plains. When her father’s business fails, the family is forced to leave their comfortable life behind and join a wagon train heading west. Ruth is thrilled to finally have the chance to experience the adventure she has always dreamed of. Along the way, she meets a variety of characters, including cowboys, Native Americans, and other pioneers. She also learns valuable lessons about life, love, and the importance of family. The novel is a heartwarming and engaging tale of a young girl’s journey of self-discovery and the challenges she faces as she navigates the unknown frontier. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
