New Brunswick, Canada once boasted of having over 340 covered bridges. By 2009 only 64 remained. This book will carry you on a photographic journey to the remaining 59 covered bridges scattered throughout the province. The photos are grouped by county and with the exception of Gloucester, the counties are grouped alphabetically. Within the county the bridge photos are presented in such a way as to take the viewer on short day trips of 2 to 6 bridges should you wish to visit personally. As you read the little blurbs accompanying each bridge you will find many having two names. The first name is the one designated by the Department of Transportation. The second name (found in brackets) is the name most commonly used by the local population. In addition you will find a picture of a small walking covered bridge in Riverview .
