This book tells the stories of the soldiers of Carroll County, Maryland who served during the Civil War. Each soldier’s biography contains approximately 300-500 words to describe their service with their respective units from enlistment to discharge or death. Their lives before and after the war is also summarized from birth to the grave. Carroll County soldiers who were residents before the war and later buried in the county are included.
