Very few books have been written about the early Croats and their history remains in virtual ‘terra incognita’ to the English-speaking world. This book has been written, specifically in the English language, with the intention to inform my children, family and friends about the history of the early Croats; from the emergence and evolution of the proto-Croatian tribes to the establishment and demise of the various Croatian national states throughout the ancient times and the medieval periods. “A History of the Early Croats” is focused on the early Croatian rulers, kingdoms and principalities and provides a general overview of the people and significant historical events; within Croatian territories and the wider region, that have forged the Croatian nation through the ages.
